Have a look at this thread: the first one is regularly updated. The West Brom one is a very good rate. if you can meet the t&c.

Currently the Scarborough BS does the best rate at 6.80% (variable) - that's only available as a regular savings account anyway (so if starting now - 'mid year' - you would not be able to catch up and could only add at £250 per month limit allowed) and should be regarded as a long term savings account. A better alternative for this year only, say, is an 'instant access' ISA which allows you more flexibility over paying in. Study the various ISA types listed at the start of the following thread:
