Is there a lifehack to get a good deal on leasing?
I was made aware of zero APR deals that happen allegedly at certain time of the year, e.g. when the license plate flips.
Is there such a thing as lifehacks when it comes to looking for a cheap leasing or hire-purchase, and which one is a better value for money?

I dont think so. My dad does car leasing and when I got my last car, I asked him to get some prices, which he did. But at the same time, he told me about a similar car where the figures were ridiculously low and it was an absolute bargain. He told me I would need to put my order in that day before they went up.
If it was not my dad I would think it was some sort of sales spiel. To put it in to context, the same car 3 days later was about £20 a month more plus more upfront, the same car last month (3 years later) but a lower spec was £10 a month more than I paid.
I think as others tend to say on here, if you look for the deal rather than the car, you can get some really good prices on leases.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a mortgage adviser, so you need to take my word for it. Heres a good starting point for 0% APR finance deals.

And theres a longrunning thread on Pistonheads for VFM leasing deals. Dont forget, deals change daily so you need to be ready to pounce when the right deal appears and not be overly chosey about an exact model and spec.

Also a lease deal does not have an APR as its simply a rental deal.0 -

!!!!!! is a "lifehack"?
It's what they call it when you see an ad on Facebook that says something like
"20 ways to get free petrol" with a pic of a naked women filling her car up.
When you click through to https://www.clickbaitrus.com all you see are PPI ads0 -

Make mine a Strawberry Mivvi.
A suggestion for the OP: make sure you are getting the complete picture if you're looking at 0% finance. For example: Renault have a 0% PCP offer at the moment, but that attracts a £0 Dealer finance contribution, whereas the standard (4.9%) finance attracts a £3000 dealer finance contribution on certain models - more than offsetting the cost of finance.0 -
I'd say the ultimate car life-hack is to avoid new cars, hire purchase, PCP and all that crap. Buy 3 or 4 year old used car, from a reliable brand, pay cash, maintain it, stick the cash you save in the bank and run it into the ground. When it breaks fix it or buy another one.
How many posts do you see on this board from people who've created a whole load of stress for themselves by getting suckered into the whole new-car on finance trap, then worrying about all the issues - costs, inflexibility, dealer servicing, excess mileage, dents, damage.0
