PCN sent to old address

Hi,
I have recently received a PCN from Smartparking. This was sent to an old address of mine where I am registered as per DVLA. I live in Northern Ireland. By the time I had received the notice the issue had already been referred to the debt recovery agency and I now owe £160 rather than the original £60.
I take exception to having to pay the extra £100. Is this worth pursuing or should I take the hit?
Thanks

You would be wise to read post #1 of the NEWBIES FAQ thread where there is specific advice for motorists receiving private parking tickets in Northern Ireland.
In summary - ignore everything and do not disclose details of the driver.0 -
Read the NEWBIES FAQ sticky, post # 1 which covers NI.Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

If you live in NI then i doubt you will get specific advice on here, as most members are English. You could try Facebook I am aware of at least one Belfast private parking campaign group that gives solid NI advice. If you were not the driver write to the parking firm and tell them who was so they CANNOT hold you liable. The person who was driving the car is responsible so let them deal with it. Not you! Don’t let people with an agenda tell you otherwise.0

If you live in NI then be conscious of the point that there are differences with respect to English law. Nevertheless you can still get excellent advice on here because longstanding forum members are alert to that situation and (as has already been done) can direct you to relevant MSE info.0

Plenty of advice on here re Northern Ireland, just search.
Much the same as Scotland
THE KEY = NEVER NAME THE DRIVER0 -
As most have said, Post 1 of the NEWBIES thread specifically covers Norn Iron where only the driver can be held liable. A long as the parking scammers don't know who the driver is, they are stuffed. The best way for the scammers not to find out the driver's identity is to ignore them.
We have a number of posters from NI who contribute to this site and they have confirmed that this is the case. Do not try social media unless you want crap, incorrect, or out of date advice.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister.
