Have a read of this link.
  • I am having the same issue. Since the Windows 10 update has run when I turn on/start up my PC a window appears saying EGIS update has failed. What is EGIS until now I never knew it existed and I have had the same equipment for 4 years, has it always been there?. I have looked at running the reimagerepair.exe download (mentioned in the above post), but on a google search the opinion is it creates other problems regarding Malware. Do i need EGIS and if not how can i delete it?. My equipment is an Acer i don't know if this makes any difference. Any advise will be appreciated.
