TK Maxx Delivery Experiences?

Options
Hi everybody,

I made an on-line purchase on TKmaxx website on this Wednesday afternoon (06/12/17) without officially registering an account ( you can do it as a "guest" there).

I have received an order confirmation automated e-mail with an order number straight away. It says that standard delivery will take from 3-5 working days and they'd send me a dispatch e-mail, which I have not yet received.

I know it has only been 3 days but in my experience on line retailers normally send items the same day you paid or the next day at the latest. I phoned their customer service and they said it has not yet been dispatched and she has no connection with their warehouse, and best to wait until Monday to phone again.

I found very negative reviews about recent TKMaxx on-line customer service experiences on trust pilot...

Could anybody share theirs please? As I wouldn't ideally like to wait for goods to arrive for weeks, and want to know when I can ask for a refund if it doesn't arrive next week, since I am going away for Xmas period.

Many thanks for your thoughts.

Thanks, did you shop their recently though?

How quickly did you receive "dispatched" notifications after paying if at all?

I also did a year or so ago, and had no issues, but it seems they might be having problems with their courier Hermes as of lately..

If you only ordered it on wednesday then its only been 2 business days as of today and I would expect delivery between monday and wednesday next week.

As for when you can cancel - under the consumer contract regulations you have a minimum of 14 days starting the day after you receive the goods to cancel and send them back for a refund - although you may be liable for return postage if they correctly informed you of your rights under the CCRs.

Their T&C's state acceptance doesn't occur until they confirm they have dispatched the goods so you could withdraw your offer any time before that without liability as no contract exists until they accept (and you can withdraw an offer at any time before it is accepted/they cannot accept an offer that has been withdrawn).

So do I, but my only concern here is that it has not even been dispatched yet. If it was out of stock in the first place, I'd rather know sooner than later, but they won't tell at this stage.

Thank you for the information provided.

Considering Black Friday was only a week ago and cyber Monday was only four days ago all retailers and couriers are going to have a backlog right now.

I’ve used them in the past but only ever store deliveries not to my home and the last time was back in April so I really can’t remember how quickly I got a dispatch email, or if I even got one, it may have just been a confirmation that it was in store ready to collect.

I was browsing for an item on Amazon yesterday and quite a few sellers there are now saying delivery won't be until after Christmas, so delays at this time of year are probably not unexpected (I ordered with Amazon themselves, and delivery is due tomorrow).

I’ve ordered with TK Maxx before but can’t recall how long order confirmation took. Order cane through with no issues though and took around 5 days, but was not at Christmas time.

It was earlier this year. I am in Belfast and it was RM who delivered it. They shipped within 48 hours at the latest, it arrived 48 hours after that. So 4 days in total.

I've done click and collect to a local store and never received any dispatch information or anything to tell me it was available for pick up. I took a chance and dropped into the shop and it was there. When I told the shop assistant about the lack of communication they told me that they had had many reports of this - that they don't send any of this information out as standard
