Advise on NHBC warranty

Hi all, Just a bit of advise wanted regarding NHBC and what is covered under a house warranty. My house is 8 years old and noticed some loose tiles at the bottom of the ensuite shower. I took these off so i can get them put back on securely and noticed that there is a huge amount of wood rot and mould behind these tiles.…

Issues with NHBC aside.

After eight years it would be almost impossible to lay blame squarely at the builders feet. I have no doubt that the new build bathroom could have been better - I’ve not a seen a “good” one but an eight year old bathroom is not a new one, silicon needs renewing - we have done ours several times over six years. A stitch in time saves nine, after all.

Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.
