'validation discrepancies' - car insurance

It's that time of the year again, and I'm shopping around for car insurance.
I do this every year, and as our situation is a bit complicated I find it's better to ring the companies direct.
Have just had quotes successfully from Direct Line, More Than, and Aviva, but when I spoke to LV they said they were unable to provide a quote due to ' two validation discrepancies', but they couldn't tell me what these were.
Obviously I'd given the same info to all of the above companies.
Any ideas? I'm worried now that something somewhere is wrong, but I've no idea what it could be.

Just to clarify - I'm not expecting anyone to know specifically what the discrepancies are - but I wondered if anyone might know the sorts of thing that would flag this up?
The only info I couldn't give them was my OHs driving licence number (he has his licence with him), and the date of purchase of OH's car. I gave a year (2012) but said it could have been 2011 or 2013, but it would be there or thereabouts. They said they were happy for me to confirm these later if I wanted to go ahead, and the guy I spoke to even confirmed that the discrepancies were nothing to do with the date of purchase of the car.
I'm truly baffled - I don't normally have any issues getting insurance!!No longer a spouse, or trailing, but MSE won't allow me to change my username...0 -
The pre-inception validation done by LV includes My License and CUE amongst other database.
I suspect it#s of those where the validation discrepancy has occurred.0 -

Thanks to everyone who has looked at this post. It looks like it's going to remain a mystery.
Our existing insurer has turned out to be the best of the rest, so we'll be staying where we are for now. I'll try LV again next year (and make sure I have ALL the information) and see what happens.No longer a spouse, or trailing, but MSE won't allow me to change my username...0 -
Somewhere when getting quotes your info probably didnt match.
Put points on one and not on another to see the price difference, or declared an incident on one and not another or tried a different postcode etc?Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
No - none of that.
As I said in my original post, I need to ring them direct because our situation doesn't fit the 'normal' risk (we run our own business, so need business use on both of our cars for both of us, and the online quote system doesn't always cope with that). Neither of us have points on our licences. I had an accident 18 months ago, but I know the exact date and would never not declare it.
What puzzled me is that he said he couldn't tell me what the problem was - which is the sort of thing that people say when you're turned down for credit.
