I got a radfan for my hall radiator, to blow the hot air around you can hear them running, did make hallway hotter
I did try the wood stove fan but the radiator was not hot enough to get fan to turn
Kudox do 3 types, 11= single, 21=double with small gap, 22 =double with large gap between the radiators
can you still get the same radiator as you have ( only a double or double plus) so that you only need to take off old one and put on the new one, you don't want to have to change the pipework, as that is a big job
  • what are radfans? I have a small double plus by the looks of it
  • hoping the one double the length will show the difference and i have a mate who fits them so putting it in is not an issue.
  • just bought a redfan to try in our room

radfan's fit on top of the radiator and have small pc type fans in bottom (so you have to plug in to the electric socket)
they blow the radiator heat out into the room
but as I said you can hear them running, I would not want one in a room I was sitting in, ok for hallway
we have the maxi radfan (radiator is 1800 double)
  • Ordered a a standard for our room to try. If it's that loud I will send it back

in hallway there is a lot of dead space, so maybe it allows me to hear it, + the max has 6 fans so more chance of hearing it

work out likely BTUs requirement for the space and buy accordingly.

  • Well i ordered my ras fan and had it on offer on their site. See how this goes in out Mr room and hopefully a larger radiator in passage will help to.
