FAO Custardy - Sorting Office

Hi

I'm trying to contact my local Sorting Office as I want to compliment are postie; he's only been on the round about 6 months but he's great. The last one was a bit of a sleaze-bag (don't know if that's why he was taken off the round) and far too over friendly but this current one is friendly yet professional.

The thing is I can't get through on the phone line, it rings about 3/4 times and then goes to ansaphone stating that if you want a redelivery then do this, that and the other.

I did manage to get through on the line the other day but the Manager wasn't in and all attempts to get through again to try and catch him have failed.

Thanks
Ms Choc x

I could but it's about 8 miles (16 return) so I was hoping to be able to get through on the phone as there's no guarantee the manager will be in when I get there.

AFAIK you don't need a manager to lodge a complaint/praise. My DO is double the distance and I do go there when I need to, like you, it has a phone number that seems to have a mind of it's own.

    You could write to them.

Yes that was my next option, putting pen to paper. Thanks

    Hi
Does your sorting office have a website?
If they do they may have a compliments/comments/complaints section where you could contact them via email
Find out who you are and do that on purpose (thanks to Owain Wyn Jones quoting Dolly Parton)

You'd be better off contacting Royal Mail customer services. They will e-mail the delivery office manager directly.
