Long story, August 2017 we have LVT fitted to our house, this isnt cheap about £1500 really in all.
we have this put hallway and lounge, it is explained to us that in order for the LVT to lay nicely and to ensure are eligable for the 20 year guarantee, it will need a even floor / replying thruout. We happily pay £100 i think? out for a 6mm plywood to be laid thruout and then the LVT on top...
4 weeks ago we notice the LVT buckling and lifting... if you could see the pictures youd be shocked. they come round look, about 2 weeks later / today i get letter thru the door saying the floors not faulty so you can claim on your guarantee and its because of the subfloor that it has buckled...
Quote from letter
"this case the laminate has been affected by the sub floor"
So the subfloor they did for me has caused this YET i cant claim even tho i paid for this subfloor PURELY to make sure had a valid guarantee in the first place???
people please dont buy from them, look at other reviews saying much the same, word of massive warning to you all!!
But please advise how i can sort this .. im not accepting it and i want to take it higher then them

Why are you claiming from a guarantee?
I have no idea what LVT is but I am guessing it's a floor of some kind. Was the LVT fitted and supplied by the same company/installer?0 -
this LVT was apparently meant to be 100x better then laminate (sales person rubbish as per usual) but yeah i just read in my flooring book however their is a installation guarantee for atleast one year.. i will raise this.. SCS have self employed fitters who come do this0

If you have purchased from SCS and they have installed, then you need to be going back to them under your consumer rights.0

How did you pay for the flooring?
