Clearview have a film clip on their website. Chris Mitchell starts it off with the sales spin, the customers give the usual nonsense about turning up on time and working hard. Quality, accreditation, and working practices are not mentioned. Neither is safety, and of course we all know why.

Clearly neither Chris Mitchell, nor the customers, have an ounce of decency, nor an ounce of common sense. The film clip is a brazen, in your face advert saying "we do not worry about scaffolding, we do not worry about edge protection, our operatives walk all over the light weight roof and if they fall through, or if they fall off, who cares? Whats a fatality here and there when there are gullible and naive customers around? Who cares about safety when there is a good profit to be made?

Of course there are cowboys out there. Of course this is all unregulated work. But to publicly broadcast a two fingers in the air attitude to safety takes some nerve!

But of course it goes much further. Under the CDM Regulations the couple on the film clip would have been under investigation by the HSE had an accident occurred. If they had not followed the Law they would be prosecuted. They are culpable. They allowed this to happen. Why spoil what appears to be a retired life by getting involved with illegal working practices?

All round I am left speechless, yet OP is considering this bunch of cowboys for work on their home!
