Tumble drier and lint

I used to have a tumble drier and regularly had to clear the lint. Now I have a washing machine/tumble drier combo.
I rarely use the tumble drier function except for towels (long ago thread about keeping towels soft, answer tumble dry them). But there is no lint 'catcher' and nothing in the manual about removing lint.
Is there something I'm missing? Or is it just not necessary to remove lint?

The lint gets pumped away with the water, except for the lint that gradually builds up in the condenser & eventually blocks it. If you don't use the dryer much it won't be a problem.Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.0
