Hi All
I wasnt sure where to post this so sorry if its in the wrong place.
Today i had a phone call from someone in India claiming to be from the fraud department of my bank, I refused to give my bank details to this person and after finishing that call i immediately phoned my bank (HSBC) and they confirmed that my card had some 'suspect' useage on it. Aparantly its been used on websites and so far has 'lost' £400 - as its a debit card i NEVER EVER use it on the net as i dont think its safe to do so which is probably why my bank has picked up on this unusual behaviour. My card has been 'stopped' and i have to wait 3 working days before going to my branch - what i want to know is am I liable for this money or can i legally claim it back? as i have said my argument with the bank would be that i have never used my debit card to make purchases on the web and also wouldnt the websites concerned have a delivery address for the goods purchased? i just dont know how else to argue my point
- HELP!

You are not liable as you did not carry out the transactions.
Please follow the instructions and promptly complete any paperwork you are asked to complete and sign and you will get your money back.0 -
