Dunno if anyone else has noticed, but there seems to be one particular person on these boards who is always winning something everyday

Yes, but some compers get up every day about 4.30 or 5 am and enter comps for maybe 12 hours a day, in between the school run, exercising dogs and doing the housework. I'd sooner have a day job that pays a guaranteed wage and then comp as a hobby.

Why get grumpy over other people's wins? Life is far too short for that. Chill and hug a newt!!!

Just checking in as I haven't posted for awhile - I've had a month off comping :( and NOT through choice

My macbook screen died, had to wait 5 days for a genius bar appointment, took it in for repair, and in the process of repairing the display, they broke the keyboard! So had to wait another week, and it went back in again - have had keyboard, battery and logic board replaced. Total cost of repair was over £1k  Thankfully covered under "consumer law" but I've been lost without it all month. Gutted as its only 14 months old. So happy to finally have it back again :)

Still won't be comping myself for a bit longer, as busy prepping for holiday, we are off to Disneyland Paris this weekend - assuming we actually manage to make the 4 hour journey to Ebbsfleet! Fingers are crossed that the snow clears by then (although we haven't actually got any yet! but its expected to be snowing here by tomorrow lunchtime and assuming its going to be bad as my kids school is closed for the rest of the week)

Hope everybody had a good comping month, I'll be reading all your posts and catching up asap, got to find out what you crazy lot have been up to all month :rotfl:

Hugs for the macbook that all sounds sucky.

Hope you make it to Ebbsfleet. Assume you are getting the Eurostar. Have a wonderful time in Disneyland Paris.

Thanks, it was! They managed to break it twice while repairing it :( On the plus side, I now basically have a new machine, only thing that hasn't been replaced is the hard drive :)

Yeah, we are taking Eurostar as its so much easier than flying and I'm not brave enough to attempt a flight with a 2 year old :rotfl:

Pleased it is all sorted now :D

I hope you have a fab weekend :j

You will have to go back a loooong way to read a month in here, please don't have a drink while doing it, I am not to blame for anyone who spits coffee/tea/wine all over their pootas whilst reading this thread :rotfl:
