Part of the Furniture 500 Posts Combo Breaker I won, I won, I won!
Good & Bad day for me yesterday.

I don't really work anymore - I do casual work for the local uni (mostly admin anything from 1 day to 18 months). Went for a chat / interview yesterday (had basically been told I'd got the job) the 'chat' turned into an almost 2 hour test in a fairly complex job with somebody who kept saying 'I'm worried that you will not be able to cope with this' I ended up a mess - couldn't even remember how to print from word (something I can normally do without a second thought!) Ended up in tears (which is not like me at all - takes a lot to make me blub) Told them it wasn't for me and came away with my fragile self-confidence in pieces! I'm now going through the angry 'how dare they' stage.

    Anyway Rant over)

I won 2 tickets for the Arsenal match for my bestie but she and all my Gooner friends are busy with a local festival this weekend! She's gutted! Struggling but I will find a home for them!

And then - late last night I discovered I have won £250 in the Mars Milk contest on Face Book for our local Cricket Club Colts! Husband is well impressed (which is very rare in itself where my comping is concerned!) :rotfl:

OK apologies for long post - hope everyone is doing well

    xxxx

No need to apologise for the long post Donnylover, I'm so sorry to hear you didn't have the greatest experience at the job, it's their loss.
    Congratulations on your wins though!

So far this month I've won 4 prizes.
Fun to Learn Friends Art Magazine (Gleam)
Crafter’s Companion Quilt Starter Kit RRP £34.99 (Rafflecopter)
Sudocrem Play More Box £40 (Gleam)
A GUND Swan Princess Soft Toy £31 (Rafflecopter)

Although only received the Play more box so far, putting that away for the nephew for Christmas, still need to add them all to my total and work out if any of them can fit in anywhere. I'm likely to gift the soft toy to Charity for my monthly challenge and send my Art magazine to one of the children at Postpals. Looks like I'm going to have a go at quilting :D I do love to craft.
Thank you to everyone who posts competitions and good luck to everyone who enters.

I won 20p on Topcashback. If I pop 20p in a charity collection tin next time I go to the shops, I presume I can cross of the August challenge to win something to give to charity.

Good luck for September everyone. September challenge is to win something metal.

It must be getting to the time of year when we think about a challenge for next year. I was mulling this over in my mind and wondered if we could have a group challenge of some sort, rather than individual challenges. This way, it wouldn't matter if anyone who was not already a 'member' of the challenge could chip in.

For example, could we collectively make a list of everything that an imaginary newt would want to set up home in a new house and try and win everything on the list? One person (Mansey?) could compile a list on the front page and keep it updated and then anyone else could just chip in.

If furnishing a home is too ambitious, then perhaps a list of 100 challenges that we try and complete between us.

From what I can see, most people that join the challenge don't keep their own posts up to date anyway, only a handful of us hardcore members still update regularly.

Is yours the only imaginary newt in the whole wide world?
