Cheapest Place To Buy Ceiling Spot Light Bulbs?

Hi all,

I need to buy 10 spot lights, 3 fluorescent under cabinet tubes and one fridge light. I know one gets what one pays for but I do not want to spend a fortune. I'm looking for where to buy them cheaply as long as they last at least 4months. They're for bathroom, hallway and kitchen.

The ceiling spot light has the following on it: tp24-2318 L1 Spot 11w 240v/50Hz 3000k warm white. From the side it looks like this http://www.tp24.com/shop/8722-led-3w-clear-spot-l1-cap-2886-replacement.html I'm certainly not looking to spend this sort of money!

Thank you!

Poundland (not Pound world) Do some 3w LED GU10 lamps that were well reviewed.

Ebay is the cheapest place but personally I would nt risk buying from there. I ve seen horror stories on the TV on Fake Britain about some bulbs capable of giving you a shock
Screwfix do a pack of 10 Gu10 leds 5.3 watts for £19.99 in either warm white or cool white.Kitchens and bathrooms are ok for cool white.Warm white is good for living rooms
3 watts is definitely not bright enough even if there are 10 in a kitchen .5.3 watts is OK
  • Thanks guys. I bought a pack of 6 GU10 on offer at Homebase for about £2.99 but it won't stay in the fitting. I also bought one from Poundland but it won't stay in either.

Are you sure you're turning them all the way? I always found recessed ceiling fittings hard to get properly seated.

In my last place the fittings had spring loaded lugs so you could pull them out of the ceiling to access the back of the lamp, then push them back in once it was in.
