    Update

Spoke to Ebay Dublin who have closed down the original case and invited the buyer to send the shoes back to me for a refund at her own expense. That is a welcome relief. They felt it was buyer remorse too. All sorted.

I don't disagree with your stance to be honest (this sort of behaviour is why I rarely sell on e-bay now) but I believe that the buyer is still in a position to leave feedback if they wish to.

It depends on how eBay closed the case. If they closed it as being in the seller's favour then the buyer won't be able to leave feedback. If they just closed it without "blame" then both parties should be able to leave feedback.

I asked them about the feedback issue and if it is defamatory and/or mentions the case, i can get it removed. of course there is a period of time it appears on the screen which may put off potential buyers.

The message I got said that my seller rating wasn't affected and they said the buyer can return the shoes at her own expense.

I found Dublin to be the most helpful but it is luck if you get through to them.I do wish Ebay would chage the record as they have one track which they play continuously!

I am not being over emotional but I get either 2 NPB weekly or some who say as in this case that this is not as described(?) or not fit for purpose.

That sounds a very high proportion, unless you are selling masses of items each week. For your own peace of mind it might be worth thinking about whether there is anything you could do to make your listings clearer to those who: cannot (or wilfully do not) read them properly; blithely click the bid or buy button with no real thought of what might happen (such as actually winning the item!); are under the happy illusion that the item will be whatever they want it to be, regardless. Tall order? Not half!

It`s pretty periodic- the last two NPB`s I got was one whose router had broken down but still wanted the item. She had to start again as the item was relisted after 6 days. She did actually win it in the end and was very apologetic. Hers was genuine.

The second was a slow payer who paid once a case was opened.

I now put all listings on the Ebay assistant so cases are opened automatically. Saves hassle and I can then say Ebay opened the case!

    Childish...moi?
