gas hob one ring not igniting

afternoon all,
i was hoping for some advice, for a bit of background I've been limping along with the cooker which came with the new house. Finally gave it a deep clean as i am unable to replace this rn.

So I cleaned the top discs, the bits that they sit on and the 'bowl' that is underneath for each ring. This has greatly improved 3 of the rings, two of which were almost unusable, spluttering, uneven, couldn't turn down without it going out etc and one sounded like a freight train!

However one of the rings that was sort of working, now isn't.
I did notice when i was cleaning, that this ring, its 'hole' wont allow the paper clip through. I did this carefully. Given the other 3 do seem to allow the paper clip trough and this doesn't i am wondering if this is the problem?

believe it or not this is as clean as it will get! it's the hole in the middle, the one inside of the hex nut shaped thingy?

so i am assuming i am unable to fix the problem? if i get the item serviced will they fix the problem? or do i have to ask for something else?

also i noticed it was clicking at me the other night, pressed the spark button and it stopped, any idea why it did this?

thank you.

That’s the gas injector, the gas flows through it. If it’s blocked that is why it’s not working. Get it removed and cleaned out, we use injector cleaners which is just a very thin pin.

thank you very much, oh thats what it is called!

Is this something i can do? (and is it safe for me to do?)
if so can you advise how to remove it? I assume that the piece, the gas injector thingy, can be removed? or is it built in and you mean i should try another 'pin'?

when i tried it did feel very hard, i am unsure if it would push through even if i added a bit of pressure, unless its hole is smaller than the others, maybe a smaller thing than a paper clip might work... hmm...

sorry im very cautious when it comes to gas tings

The problem is the injector is the right size to allow the right amount of gas through so if you start pushing stuff through it you could enlarge the injector and allow more gas in that the manufacturer wanted.

I’d gently try and clear it with a very fine pin, if no joy if you can see the data badge with make, model and serial number on then get replacement injectors, they will not cost much.

Are you sure you assembled the parts back correctly.

Every time I clean mine, my one of the rings stop working. I have to jiggle the parts about to get then to fit together properly then it works.
