Windows 7 update blank screen

Hi, just checking for updates as i usually do, and it's a blank screen, i have run updates before and they are all up to date
I have checked services and windows update is running, so i can't work out what's wrong?
I have windows 7 32 bit
Any help please? Thank you

There are several services related to windows updates.
Firewall possibly blocking it.Censorship Reigns Supreme in Troll City...0 -
Mine was exactly the same today.
Open Control Panel.
Under the heading System and Security:
Click the Link Find and Fix Problems.

Just to add to this, if anyone can't find it it is under the "Troubleshooting" section , then under "System and Security" and finally "Find and Fix Problems"

Meant to put in my post above (but forgot sorry!) after running the Troubleshooter if it seems no better or sometimes its worthwhile anyway:
Restart Windows, then re-try the Windows Update.

Just went to update my daughter's and showing the same. Just trying the fix now

When I accessed Control Panel --> Windows Update, I was faced with a revolving blue circle and a frozen PC. After 30 minutes of no success, I restarted the PC and left Update alone. I have Windows Updates set to Let Me Choose when to update.
I am not going back to Updates until Microsoft releases a Fix.I think this job really needs
a much bigger hammer.
