Anyone had any dealings with Simpletelecoms.com who provide landlines only for the elderly

I don't quite understand why you would need a provider specifically for the elderly. What do they offer that other providers don't?

Never heard of them .
BT do a cheap landline package .
But 30 days and no fee means you can try .
But beware of losing current number check first .

That link is for a business line, so not suitable for a single person's use.

BT's line rental charge for "Landline-only customers" will be £11.99 per month from April 2018, following an Ofcom review:

Can the elderly person in question not apply for BT Basic which is £5.10 a month line rental?

This will be a much better option price-wise, if the elderly person in person is eligible for it.
