Will the Atag IC Economiser combi cope with 2 showers at the same time?

Options
Hi

Atag say on their website that it is suitable for large houses with more than one bathroom. Is this true?

Thanks

I don't think any combi will give you good performance from two showers at the same time.
  • It depends on the water consumption of your showers.

If it's 37 kW it should be equivalent to 3 x 10.2 kW electric showers. Adequate if you have low flow shower heads, but you won't be able to run 2 x rainfall/deluge showers. You'd also have to check your incoming mains water pressure and flow and whether the boiler can be used on a standard domestic gas meter or if you'd need to go a meter size up.
A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.

Combi boilers are not designed 2 run more then 1 tap at a time.

What flow rate do they quote?

    Thanks. They say the following:

iC Economiser 35 kW – 16.1 litres per min
iC Economiser 39 kW – 17.0 litres per min
  • What does your Atag installer think ?
I'm only here while I wait for Corrie to start.

You get no BS from me & if I think you are wrong I WILL tell you.

I can't get anyone to ring me back. I rang Atag and they said probably not.

But Intergas said that their Compact ECO 36 would, but again, I'm waiting for one of their installers to ring me back.

You will not get one that will do it, that atag flow rates is high and that still can’t do it, you might get a storage combi like a Worcester highflow or a Vaillant 937, I think that’s the model. I think they give up around 20l ish per minute.

If you need to run 2 taps at once then you need unvented hot water.
