Vax & Bissell Carpet Cleaner Shampoo Question

Can i ask i had a vax carpet cleaner that i have replaced with a Bissell as a result of owning a vax i have a couple of large bottles of vax shampoo can i use this shampoo in my new Bissell carpet cleaner

Bissell will tell you (read the small print) it invalidates the warrenty, so you might want to use Bissel shampoo at first, maybe even till the warrenty expires, but in my experience, carpet shampoo is carpet shampoo....
