proof of address

My OH is listed as an additional account holder on my Thames Water Bills. (So the bill addresses to me with my address on and lists my OH as an additional account holder on the same bill)

We live in the same address.


My question is if he would be able to use that as the proof of address of HSBC? He already has an account with HSBC but HSBC is asking for proof of identity and address against for fraud prevention.
