    Morning All

I feel your pain with the dryer sharronej I was dryerless with 4 youn children and two adults for years but once I got one there was no looking back! Unfortunately my tiny house can no longer fit one so I'm back to racks by the radiators. It takes a bit of getting used to!

Pay day today and yesterday from 'overtime jobs' so I've paid some more off.

Well actually it's a loan I can't over pay, so I'm paying the monthly payment and putting the rest into savings until I've got the lump sum to pay it off.

Surprisingly, I've paid nearly £1000 off/put into savings. More than I thought. My overtime jobs aren't as busy as they were before Christmas so I was feeling a bit disheartened that I wouldn't be getting the money in but ...more that I thought this month, so who knows.

I definitely need to be looking at other income opportunities too though. I may head over to the £10 a day thread for February.

Decided I’m only going to count reduction in debt after interest, so all our statements have arrived for January, so first Total is calculated. Really pleased!

Hello! looking over my budget today and I should be on track! We've had a few wedding spends this week but they're all coming from the wedding fund. I managed to save £10 on the wedding insurance by going through Topcashback so I'm taking that as a win! :)

Well, I have had the worst nights sleep mainly because m husband has man flu and snored all night but also because my mortgage statement arrived and they have offered me a settlement fee of £1700 - I'm now desperate to pay this off before my birthday (end of April) rather than letting it end naturally in 14 months .....am I crazy? It's only going to save me a couple of hundred pounds but there's something so appealing about having it done after all these years.

How will it save you a couple of hundred pounds? Is that because they are offering to settle for less than than is currently outstanding ? If so that’s equivalent to an interest rate of about 11% tax free so you should cash in some savings and do it..
