Sunshine81, I've seen you post regularly on here for a while now. Do you chip away at the debt, like direct extra money made/ saved tothe debt regularly rather than a large payment? I'm looking for ways to boost my momentum19/12/14: Spent 10 years of savings!!

Morning,

Hi a_silver_lining! There's another thread in here called Payment A Day, so I make a payment to my debt every single day even if it is just a few pence. It keeps me mindful of what I'm spending and it's motivating to watch the paid amount go up every day - it makes me think twice about spending money! If I saved it up and paid it off in bigger chunks I'd end up spending it. I'm not very disciplined, that's what got me here in the first place :rotfl:

Number 61 checking in. Paid off the husband's car loan so we are now at £13917 paid off this year so far. The more I see the totals that I have paid off the more annoyed I get with myself for wasting money. I could have bought a new car with that £13k or be part way to buying a 2nd property....
Lesson learnt hopefully.Halifax CC £1029/£2490, Tesco CC [STRIKE]£0/£3203[/STRIKE], Tesco loan £15431/£15808, Carloan1 £6743/£8241, Carloan2[STRIKE] £0/£3813[/STRIKE]

Hello, I hit 70% today! That's the closest I've got to being debt free in all the years I've been on this thread, so pleased!

Thank you sunshine81, I find it really motivating seeing you chip away. I think I need a similar strategy, maybe not daily... but perhaps money made, and end of the month lumps paid. I think a more regular check in might keep me focused.19/12/14: Spent 10 years of savings!!
