How much will this cost me?

Made a major mistake and somehow left my bathroom light on for what may have been 2 days! I know it's hard to estimate because of wattage etc. but please can someone estimate how much this has cost me? I need to know how much to budget for.

Assuming it is a 100 watt bulb on for 48 hours, it will have used 4.kWhs which will probably cost you you ahout 50p.

If you assume that it was a 100w bulb for 48 hours it would have used 4.8kwh. If your leccy costs 12p/kwh it will have cost you around 58 pence which probably wont break the bank

1000watts=1kw,so a 100watt bulb uses 1kwh of electricity every 10hours.As a bathroom bulb is unlikely to be as high as 100watts (small room and probably lower rated energy saving),he cost will be even lower than quoted above.

Tell us the wattage and your kWh unit rate, and we can give you an exact answer.
But you'd probably spend more leaving the heating or hot water on for an hour than a single light bulb for two days.
And if it was an LED bulb then the cost will be more like 8p.
