They're all mass market banks with a wide variety of customers. I don't really have stereotypes for them.urs sinserly,

Not one for stereotypes, but HSBC has a strong market in the Far East/South East Asia - it is a paragon of intercultural communication.
A real issue is the stereotypes they use:

I think every bank and building society would have a mixture of those stereotypes. I personally don't feel any of them are accurate...0

In my case it was whoever my parents banked with.
Surely anyone who wants to be different has Tesco Bank or another of the challenger banks.0 -
Meto bank has a very certain type of customer. I’ll leave it there.0

Santander because it’s closest to my house 0

- Natwest for English people who want to move to Scotland
- Lloyds for cigar smoking brandy drinkers
- Barclays for older people who bemoan the end of the Access credit card
- HSBC for those who think they might move to an Asian country if they win the Lotto
- Nationwide for people who think the mutual status means they own it
- Halifax for people who think it's a building society
Stereotypes don't apply to banks. For example I'm 66 years old and my main bank is Starling Bank which is targeted at millennials. We might also consider the advertising: For example Lloyds Bank's advertising targets growing families.0
