How many people does it take to change a light bulb!!...

Hi

I have this sensor light in my porch area as I enter the house. It stopped working a few days ago and pretty sure the bulbs died.

I’ve tried taking the casing off but I can’t seem to take it out and the more I pull the more I feel I’m going to take it off the ceiling!!

I’ve lost manual which the electrician gave me so can’t even use that. There’s no make on the casing so can’t even google it!!

Any suggestions?

I've got one like that. There are 2 notches on each side. Gently push a small flat-blade screwdriver into each one, and use it to lever the cover off slightly. When you've done that in all 4 notches, the cover should lift off. If the fitting has been in place for some time, there's a risk the plastic has become brittle and will break.

Are the bulbs replaceable? The first answer on the screwfix site says that they are not...

I think manufacturers use that kind of casing for both non-replaceable LED arrays and replaceable E27-threaded lamps. Mine has a replaceable E27 lamp. If yours is more than a couple of years old, it's probably the replaceable type as well.

Managed to replace bulb but it’s still not working - unit must be knackered!!

The cheap PIR sensors built into lamps do fail. If you want a longer lasting one get a Steinel separate PIR detector wired in.
