Credit card with rewards

Hi All,

I am just about to make a big purchase around £9000 and was wondering what would be the best credit card to use to get the maximum rewards/cash back or such like. I have the money to pay the credit card off.

If the shop/supplier accepts Amex then you can get £100 cashback

Another alternative would be to put the purchase on a 0% purchases CC, just make the minimum payment each month and earn interest on the balance in high interest current accounts until the end of the 0% promotion.

Assuming you can get a credit card with a £9000+ credit limit, which often isn't possible

Interest free and put the money in savings for 2-3 years?
