Word – Gmail question

I write my emails in Word 2010 then cut and paste it in Gmail. In Word they are fine but when I paste it in Gmail, it comes with larger line spacing. How do I correct this?

It was fine until today; don’t know why I have larger line spacing?

Thanks

Why not just cut out the use of word and just type the email in Gmail.

You can highlight the all the text, and then click 'Remove Formatting'.

    Use-Gmail-Step-7Bullet8.jpg

That will remove the large line spacing - but it will remove all other formatting as well - which might not be what you want.

My guess would be one of the following...
    • The OP wants to type emails offline and then copy them into Gmail when online (because they don't have Gmail Offline installed).
    • Formatting text is easier and more advanced in Word than in Gmail - and weirdly there is some advanced formatting that you can do in Word which you can copy and paste into Gmail - but you can't create from scratch in Gmail. (But if that's why the OP is doing it - the 'Remove Formatting' button won't solve their problem.)

    No idea why!
    'Remove Formatting' doesn't work.

Yesterday, I downloaded this windows update - Definition Update for Windows Defender - KB915597 (Definition 1.257.1202.0)

    Installation date: ‎01/‎12/‎2017 19:33

    Installation status: Successful

    Update type: Important

Install this update to revise the definition files used to detect spyware and other potentially unwanted software. Once you have installed this item, it cannot be removed.

    Any help?

It comes OK when using Text Document notepad but not Word. The reason I don't use Text Document is because it doesn't have spell check, etc like Word.

    Any help please?

You need to select/highlight the text first - then click 'Remove Formatting'...
