Hello hidden shadow
I will be joining again for 2018, happy to stick with number 78 if that's OK, and aiming for £5000.
Thanks for running this again. RoxieMFW 2021 No: 33 £45000/£45000 Mortgage free @ 11/6/21 🥳0 -
Long time lurker, new job has meant we've had a late surge this year and overpaid most of our allowance so want to try and keep the momentum going next year even though we won't have the same lump sums that helped this year.
Going to aim to use the full £15k overpayment allowance, mostly through maturing regular savers but also by trying to reign in spending and put an amount aside/through each month. Childcare is our biggest outgoing (1.5 times the mortgage!!!) so as that reduces in September I'm hoping to put us in the position to be able to move house.
Good luck everyone!0 -
Can I join for 2018 please.
Any number will do, I am not fussy
Our mortgage will start the year at £108,400 and I would like to get it down to 100k by the end of 2018 so can I sign up for paying off £8,400 capital + £2,100 interest so £10,500 total
DH takes care of the payments and I take care of the over- payments so I need to find £345 a month to reduce the daily interest - currently £5.78. Should be a challenge.4/10/22One Year Mortgage Free Yay!

Hi HiddenShadow,
Please could I join the challenge?
I'd like to pledge £2500 overpayment across the year. Bit of a stretch compared to this year's achievements, but this is a challenge after all.
Many thanks.
