Hi,
I lodged a PPI complaint against capital one via resolver.
They called me but i could not speak the time and asked them to call me back. When they did call they it was a one ring then thy hung up.
I have now had a letter to say they have rejected my claim, that they could not contact me, and said I can have an amount under plevin. A day later the cheque has arrived!
I am not sure what to do. I want to go to the ombudsman as i believe I was mis sold, but what about the amount they have just sent me?
Please help

Plevin and PPI complaints are two different issues.
They know if are due a refund under Plevin by checking their records.
Where you complain about the PPI policy, they need to know why you are alleging it was mis-sold. What reasons did you give?0 -
You are entitled to the Plevin refund regardless of what happens. You can refer your complaint to the FOS. If your complaint succeeds at the FOS, they will deduct the Plevin redress from the final redress payment.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
