This site is a maze. Amazing but still a maze 
I have got my free credit report (30 day trial) and I have no idea what to do with it. There are a few credit cards etc. on there that I think I can cancel etc. but I need to know what I'm doing & why I'm doing it. Please would some kind MSE show me a link to what I'm supoosed to be doing

If you've got old cards that you want to cancel, just phone up the companies concerned and do it.
Having old cards with no balance shows to credit checkers that you may have a large 'available credit' which might reduce the credit limit you get offered.
Apart from that and checking that everything is OK on the report, there's not much more you can do with it.Dave. :wave:0 -

Yes. Credit card = available credit. Catalogue = available credit (and a very expensive way of buying things, too).The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life.
