I run a local sunday league football team, and am trying to find software specifically designed to take care of the day to day admn issues (game fees, money recieved etc) but am struggling to find such a package. I know they are on the market somewhere, but try as I might I cant find them!
If anyone can offer any assistance I would really appreciate it. I currently use spreadsheets but they do not work as well as something designed to do it.
Many Thanks
Darryl

You need some sort of database management tool
What I would recommend is building a website using MySQL and PHP.
This way you can make a user friendly and interactive system which functions as a database and can be manipulated in ways you see fit. Though just be prepared to spend a lot of time.
Alternatively use a free database package thats included in OpenOffice for example to replace Microsoft Access. That sounds like the type of thing you need[FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]"The internet is a great way to get on the net."

thanks guys, searched the templates but nothing there. I am really looking for something that has been designed for a football club so it can track all match fees, fines, and then auto generate reports to minimise the time i need to put into it. I appreciate this is probably something that can be knocked up in access, but in all honesty I have not got the time to develop it and my limited knowledge of access (basically all i use is the wizzards!) the end product wont be very good.
Any other ideas???0 -
See if any of these help, particularly 2-nil (not free though)0

I was looking at the 2-nil software and downloaded a demo, and it does everything bar the one most important thing i need, which is keep a record of match fees collected by individual player.0

Can i ask why you can't use excel for this?
I mean that's one of the great things excel is for! You can format it to make it look nice if that's what you're worried about[FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]"The internet is a great way to get on the net."

If it for maintain the money activaties of the club, like track money coming in/out, moving from account A to account B then try Microsoft Money, you should be able to get it of the net for around £20

Thanks for all your help guys, I have gone back to the original excel sheets and sorted out all the formatting and it now does 80% of all the information I want. I will get help from someone more knowledgeable than me to try and achieve the futher 20%.
Thanks for all your help and suggestions!:beer:0
