Hi don't know if this is right forum for this, but question re battery life (I have a sony phone).

Mine is pretty rubbish. I've got GSam Battery Monitor installed, this is telling me that 14% of my battery is being used by "Kernel (Android OS)" and 14% by "Android System". This isn't very helpful! Other app usage is much lower.

Are these figures normal or is there something wrong with my phone?

And what other apps do you have draining the battery, like the battery monitor which itself uses power and reduces battery life.

Is bluetooth on when you dont need it?
Is wifi on when you dont need it?

Wifi enabled whilst your out and about it will be looking for connections which drains the battery.
In an area with a weak signal? The phone will look for a better signal and that drains the battery also.

So many variables.
