I can't seem to do anythingthis week without damaging something!!!
I have a fab pair of jeans that are baggy but have a little cresae dowm the front (they're actually nicer than the sound) I iron them lightly on he crease only when I put them on today I noticed a drity mark right dowm the crease line, assumumim=ng it was my iron that had dirt on it ( could wel be as I only I iron if my life depends on it..;) ) so I've just washed and dryed them again and the mark is still there. Does anyone know of any good ideas please?
Many thanks SL.

I assume if you have re-washed the jeans then the mark is permanent, I would suggest that you dye your jeans, take a look at the Dylon website, I do it all the time, especially when my favourite jeans fade on the knees, it will cost you approx a £5.00 including the salt, its really easy, just remember to put a wee bit of bleach into the machine after dying the jeans to make sure all the dye is out of the machine.

Many thanks for your advise. I haven't got time to look at the link you gave me now as my kids are complaining about being hungry ( only seems 2 mins since I fed them last lol) so I will look later.
Cheers

If you don't want to dye them just yet, then try re-washing, but pre-treating the stain/mark first....a bit of a gentle rub with a bar of soap often works wonders....don't be too tempted to scrub at them with a nail brush or you could end up getting rid of the mark and gaining a faded patch in it's place.
Oh and clean the sole of your iron, before anything else gets the same treatment.Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no: 203.0 -

Thanks I did clean my iron, but wasn't 100% sure it came from there as none of the other clothes I ironed that day got marked.
I'll try the soap but is there any thing you wuold avise putting in with my jeans when I wash them or would you recomend just soap??0 -
I would pre treat with a bar of soap..wet the jeans a bit and then rub onto mark, then wash as usual with soap powder or whatever you use. If you have Vanish in the cupboard, then use that, but don't let it dry before washing.
I would wash in a normal darks (depending upon the colour of the jeans) wash so they can rub around with the other stuff...
As Merlot said, it possibly won't come out.Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no: 203.0 -

Sallylizzie, honestly I'm no domestic goddess, dying the jeans is really easy and cost effective, you can chose your colour, I have used demin blue and black and they had turned out fantastic. you simply wash the jeans first, and then take the jeans out of the machine, place the whole packet of dye in the machine with the recommend dose of salt, pop in jeans, wash on a 60 and then I re-wash them straight after and you have a new pair of jeans, I have not bought jeans for 2 years now cause I keep dying them and they turn out like new. If you have orange stitching on the jeans then this doesn't usually dye so no-one can tell that you have dyed them.
Any questions, PM and I'll help you.

You say you're no domestic goddess then god knows what I am cos till I started looking on this thread I didn't have a bl***y clue!
I'm gonna try the soap trick cos I've got nowt to lose but will try the dye if it doesn't work. It's not like they were mega expensive ( well for me they are but hey ho!) but I've only had them a few weeks and I was hoping for a little more wear LOL..Espec cos I only buy clothes when I HAVE to.
Dying in my machine does worry me tho cause I'm bound to mess it up.. Look out in a few days for a thread posted by me sayin " HELP dyed all my childrens clothes blue black" PMSL.

I too dyed my jeans a while back.. cream jeans that had gotten stained with something over the years.. so i put them through the machine with dylon jeans dye and dyed them a gorgeous royal purple colour - you couldn't *buy* a pair of jeans in that colour! best thing i ever did!!
go for it - you won't look back!
