                                  in Credit cards

I think I've messed up somewhere. I'm trying to get on top of my finances and applied for a Lloyds 0% credit card yesterday. Good news is I got accepted and it said I could transfer £6555 over, which I duly did. I've just received an email to say it's been done but also a text saying that I've gone over 90% of my credit limit and could face charges. I can't remember reading anywhere about not being allowed to go over 90% and why would they let me transfer more than this if it's a problem? I'm unable to login to the account yet as I'm obviously waiting for the paperwork to come through the post. What do I do? Do I have to find the money to get it under the 90%? Will I have immediately lost my 0% deal? I'm totally confused, stressed and wish I'd left the Balance on barclaycard 😩 Any advice greatly received

Are you sure they weren't just letting you know you were getting close to your limit? Did they specifically say they apply charges for being at 90%?0

I received the same warning from Lloyd's yesterday after requesting a balance transfer. They will warn you when you hit 90% so you can take action (if needed) to avoid going over your credit limit. My balance is currently 93.7% of my credit limit and I'm not expecting to get charged.
Exactly the same thing occurred when I was maxing out my Halifax Credit Card with balance transfers earlier in the year.
OP, what is your credit limit and is there a fee for your balance transfer?0

Do not stress. What is your credit limit; £7000?0
