Swiftcover refusing to deal with third party

Hi all,
I have comprehensive insurance + protected NCD with Swiftcover. On Tuesday the back of a van clipped the front right of my parked car. We exchanged details and he appologised for his mistake (his insurer is quotelinedirect).
I called up Swiftcover on Thursday to report the accident but customer services refused to record the accident and told me to chase up the third party's insurance company myself! This never happened with bigger names like RAC and Direct Line.
I got rather annoyed and said I will never insure with them again so they said they will open a claim for me. Today I checked online what they did and they've opened the claim as me admitting liability for the accident, and that my NCD is affected!!! Severe incompetence...
So I'm asking for some advice from you guys. What should I do next? Should I even just go to an accident management company like helphire (http://www.helphire.co.uk/) and save myself the hassle?
Thanks,
Mun

Mr Bear speaks the truth.
Helphire - they are ok but their interest is getting a hire car out to you - for as long as possible - and claiming this cost back from your insurer or the third party insurer.
Now the claim - Swiftcover should be sorting this - go to the Financial Services Ombudsman if they continue to avoid the claim and you have been through the Swiftcover complaints process without a result.
Your NCD is protected - usually 2 claims in a 5 year (sometimes 3) rolling year period.
Frankly Swiftcover are not doing their job properly - a shambles.
Good luck,
