Halifax Zero Balance Alert

Does anyone know if Halifax have changed their policy on zero balances. I keep my balance at zero then pay in the day before a bill is due. Today I got a text saying my balance was low. Which has never happened before. There was no pending payment showing on the account. Next payment is due to go out tomorrow and there is money to cover that in there, which I think may have crossed with the text.
Paid off the last of my unsecured debts in 2016. Then saved up and bought a property. Current aim is to pay off my mortgage as early as possible. Currently over paying every month. Mortgage due to be paid off in 2036 hoping to get it paid off much earlier. Set up my own bespoke spreadsheet to manage my money.

From the beginning of November all Lloyds Banking Group banks have changed to automatically send text alerts once your balance falls under £50, go into your overdraft or don't have enough to pay a standing order.

Did you really mean to put loose?
Lose: no longer possess, not to retain, unable to find
Loose: not firmly or tightly fixed in place

As AirlieBird says, this is just a change to opt-out rather than opt-in alerts so not in itself any concern. However I personally wouldn't run a bank account I was "exploiting" at zero balance - that's just asking for it to be picked up up by a simple database query and closed. Personally I deposit enough into my Halifax account to cover my DDs once a month and leave a balance of between £1-£2 after they're paid.

Who said anything about exploiting it? I just prefer to earn a bit of interest on my money. Best part of £1500 goes through it every month. This is not an account which is used to pay nominal direct debits to gain the reward payment.
