A good quality mat for servicing / working on car?

I know what i'm looking for but you can imagine what i get when searching for a 'car mat'.
Those thick sponge like boards you can put down to lay on for when working on the car. Like big kneel pads.
Or is there something better, without talking about daft money?
When i work on the car the surface is 20mm chippings so not the best of surfaces. Yes i know it'll take it out of whatever i put down but rather that than my knees, elbows & back.
Anyone here have something & can link to their recommendation?

I've got one of these which has been in use most weekends for years and shows no sign of giving up yet... https://www.machinemart.co.uk/p/mechanics-mat/ But I've also got a 2m x 1m piece of heavy foam I bought as an offcut, which is nicer because it's big enough you can kneel down on it and then crawl under the car without running out of mat. Something like stable matting, but not as heavy.0

I used a piece of insulation, the type that they put in houses between the bricks and the blockwork,it was about 2 inches thick and the best part was it was warm as the heat off your body was bounced back at you, kept it in my service van for ages till it snapped in half.0

Superb. Thanks for the replies.
Knew there was a better search term than car mat0 -
I use the ones in the link below, i have also fitted them in my garage as i only keep a couple of motorcycles in there and saves parking on a cold damp floor in the winter
They are approx 60cm square and lock together and just right when working on the Car
They are also sold in DIY stores, Halford etc

Another vote for carpet off cuts but I double mine over for better passing and insulation. If you know anyone getting carpets changed cut some off the old carpet for free.
Fitness mats tend to stick to things after a while around car fluids.0 -

About half that price from almost anywhere else but it is a good mat that doesn't blow around in the wind like lighter ones do.0
