Solicitors regulation authority

Hi
We are currently 5 months into buying our first house. The house we are buying unfortunately is not registered and the solicitors who held the deeds have gone under and been taken over by the Solicitors Regulators Authority. We had been told we had to wait 6-8 weeks for our deeds, we have now passed the 8 week mark but no further on. Has anyone had any experience with the SRA been involved with a house purchase? Any advice appreciated!

I believe the SRA will appoint another firm of solicitors to deal with your purchase. Perhaps phone the SRA to see which firm is dealing with it and then contact that firm directly.0

This is really a matter for the seller to pursue with the SRA.
Not much you can do beyond put pressure on the seller, and/or start looking for another property.0
