Calculating Annual Consumption

hello,
Are there any recommended guides available on how to calculate your consumption?
I have been a homeowner for 2.5 years and have switched twice so far (with collective switches), as I don't have that much 'history' and my energy usage statements aren't full a full year I am struggling to get accurate info.
Checking my current Sainsburys bill, I have a really low cost for the start of my contract as I was only with them for a partial month, old British Gas statements I can't seem to access anymore.
Is my only hope keeping a manual spreadsheet of usage? BG split usage by month, however Sainsburys I would have to divide Quarterly usage to get it monthly.
Would be great if there was some government website that tracks usage and cost for the address?

For Electricity - Read your meter now and again in 24 hours. Multiply the units consumed by 365.Never pay on an estimated bill. Always read and understand your bill0

Ring your present supplier and ask for the Annual Quantity for gas and Estimated Annual Consumption for electricity. This is the historical data held for your property based on actual meter readings adjusted for seasonal weather variations. It is a good as any place to start. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
