  • Are you talking about the ASUS gaming laptop?

A friend of mine is in the same situation. The price offered was so ridiculous, it had to be a pricing error. I don't believe Amazon have to honour these orders. When I worked in a retail HO, something similar happened with a £500 product being put on for £5.00.

Are you confusing the two separate situations? Latterly OP tried to order the laptop knowing it was a pricing error, and Amazon cancelled that order. Previously (which is the subject of this thread) the OP placed an order which Amazon as yet have failed to fulfil nor cancel and refund.
  • Mashed94, I am talking about the ASUS laptop. One week ago I ordered the GTX 1050 version of the laptop on a promotional price (not misprice) of 500 pounds excluding tax (as an Amazon Business customer). I did see the misprice yesterday on the GTX1060 model and I placed a second, separate order for it. Amazon cancelled the misprice orders and I totally agree with you that it does not have to honour them. I opened the thread for my first, properly priced order because, even though the laptop was in stock when I ordered it, Amazon has not given me a delivery date yet and a customer support representative told me that the order will most probably not be fulfilled. I wanted to know what a customer can do in such a situation.

Until the order is actually despatched, Amazon don't take the payment. I had a similar occurrence - something went out of stock after I had ordered it. When I checked to see where my money was it showed as being back in my a/c. It goes back in automatically after so many days I think.
