A friend of mine while pregnant and her son would sit down in an afternoon with the fire on and watch telly. They'd both fall asleep each time. It was only when the gasman came out to check the boiler, that they asked him just to check the fire (for no particular reason i might add), that he realised that the cm levels were dangerously high. They got sent straight to hospital, and there was a worry that the unborn baby would be harmed - i don't think they could tell whether it's development would be ok until later after it was born. The levels in their blood of cm were very high, and as i understand it - it can take a while to leave your system. They were very very lucky. The scarey thing is it just didn't occur to my friend that it wasn't right that she fell asleep every afternoon, she just put it down to being pregnant and feeling tired.0
