How can I work out if the service charge total contributions add up to 100%?

I would expect the annual service charge statement that every leaseholder receives to show that information.

Find out % contribution from each flat and add them together.

ask for the accounts of the management company and review them.

If you do not understand company accounts then find someone who does. The service charge may not = "100%" depending on what profit margin the company operates on.

Are you saying that every leaseholder should receive a schedule of all the individual service charges (%) for all the flats as well as their own?

Is this a legal requirement ?

Mine just shows the estimated total cost for the year since my service charge proportion is defined in my lease as a %. I have no idea what the proportions of the other flats are but I would be very interested to know if I had a right to know..

You know how much you pay and what % it represents.

Therefore you know how much 100% is.

If this is the same as the total billed service charge (from the accounts) then total = 100%
