builder costs to do Kitchen

Hi, I hope I have posted in the correct place. I am getting a kitchen done for the first time but unsure of costs and who gets paid for what... the builder asked me to pay his company and being trade he would buy the kitchen from Howdens (as they only sell to trade). is that right? I thought i would be paying Howdens directly for the kitchen units I want to buy?
secondly the cost of a skip - should that be part of the builder's cost or is it a cost to me?
Appreciate your experience and advice. S

Yes, Howdens sells to trade only and I would ask the builder to supply the skip and pay him for it.0
