Trying to rebuild credit rating

I've recently (a few months ago) come out of sequestration and I'm looking for ways to start and rebuild my credit rating. Is it worth applying for a high interest credit card, like the Capital One Classic, making a token purchase each month and then paying it off in full?

Using a card in that way is the easiest and cheapest way to build a credit history.
Make sure you wait for the statement before clearing in full.0
