Vanquis or Chrome Card?

Hi guys. I'm new here. Be nice. Not sure if already posted I've looked at the search can't find much. Im wanting to get a credit card. Just to build my credit rating. I don't want to use the card for anything. Just make repayments? I'm unsure how much charge there is each month if I don't use the card to purchase anything. Many thanks guys. Jamie:j

You're going to have to use it, if you want to repay it.

Put some regular shopping on it, clear in full month once you get the statement.

Okay so say I was to spend £30 . Then come the end of the month how much would I pay back? . Depending on APR? Also.

Shall I go with vanquis. Chrome or aqua. Im not sure. Thankyou :eek:

As long as you don't take out cash and pay in full, you'll pay no interest.

Any of those cards will serve the same purpose.

As ZX81 said,,,but go with Aqua as they offer 0.5% cash back.

In order to build a credit history, you have to use credit.


An unused credit card is literally a dormant account and would do nothing for you.


When using a card to build a credit history, all cards are the same.


Spend £30, wait for statement, pay in full before due date.


Rinse, repeat.


At the higher end some cards offer reward points, and you can make profit from your spending. At the highest end the rewards can be pretty decent, although these products usually come with annual fees (Like Amex etc)
