    Assuming that the OP was concerned about future road tax, why have so many people got it into their heads that diesel surcharges are being applied retrospectively?

    I love how everyone these days always recommend electric for "low" miles. Just because someone has a low annual mileage it doesn't mean they still don't do long runs. Electric is not always going to be practical for that depending on where the charge points are and how long you're prepared to sit around recharging.

    Plus the price of electric cars probably out way the cost of a DPF regen.
