Hi
Hoping someone can help?
Received the above recently for 'parking' in prohibited area in an airport in England (we live in Scotland). We had used the airport car park and because our child has a condition so can't walk far, they were picked up nearer to terminal building and photo is of them getting in the car. Letter does not look official and asks for £100 or £60 now. Having read the forum it seems we should ignore and complain to retailer & DVLA? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Sorry if this has already been answered.

read the advice for SCOTLAND in the newbies sticky thread
there is no keeper liability in scotland , so being in scotland seems to be of more relevance than any other issue
chances are its from VCS or APCOA and so its not "dubious" , but part of a money making sc@m where bylaws apply and is well documented on here , on tv , in the papers , and on parking pranksters blogsite0 -
It is from UK PPO. Is it worth complaining to them, airport or DVLA? or best ignore?0
-
I dont think you will get anywhere with UKPPO for Newcastle ? airport
or the dvla , or the IPC , or the airport , or anyone else
as keeper you have no liability , they do not know who was driving
for Scotland we always advise KEEPERS to ignore
do not reveal who was driving0 -
Quick update on this, all went quiet but last week got a text message from BWlegal. Not sure how they got my number? Then got a letter from uk parking patrol office ‘your account has been passed to our legal team’, and in same envelope a letter from BWlegal ‘we have been instructed by uk parking patrol office limited in relation to the balance due for the above PCN’. What action should I take?0

if the BW LEGAL letter is an official LBC with 30 days notice and the financial forms, then issue an LBC rebuttal
if its a debt letter demanding money with menaces, IGNORE it (them)
then come back if the official LBC or an MCOL arrives in the post0 -
at the moment BW are fishing , dont play with them , ignore them , if they want to start a claim for a airport in england they will do
UPPPo have issued over 30,000 tickets in the last 3 yrs , how many times have they tried court in ENGLAND http://www.parkingappeals.info/companydata/UK_Parking_Patrol_Office.html0 -
Appreciate the quick reply. Excuse my ignorance but was is a LBC?0

acronyms are in the newbies faq sticky thread , post #5
surely you have read it by now ? (ie:- you have been here almost a year)
bear in mind that things may be different in Scotland, you have your own legal system, including the SIMPLE PROCEDURES0 -
Was up to speed a year ago so will have a revisit, thanks0
-
It is not a Letter Before Claim, will come back if they issue LBC, thanks for replies0
